Flyer

Hey guys. So some of the dudes asked me to make a flyer for the party they’re throwing tonight. It came out pretty well, so I thought I’d share. This Photoshop thing is really awesome, by the way. I think there might be a future in it for me.

I’m probably not going to the party though. Juliet said she wanted to talk about something, and I promised I’d meet her.

Oh, and you guys kind of lost me with your comments again. Any chance we can try that again?

Hm, you know yoy really shouldn’t advertise parties on the internet, you never know WHO might show up with that wide an audience >.< Good poster, though.

And sorry for losing you, we tend to do that. What is it you're confused about? Perhaps we can clarify things here.

  • S_o_S says:

… Is it weird that I really want to attend this party?

  • Sicon says:

OK, tl;dr version coming right up.

We are working on a way to be 100% sure that when we send people like Juliet back, they avoid trouble that may arise as a result of the original plot. Like in this case, she could get in trouble with her families. I’m pretty sure you are fine with that, correct? We don’t want to take ANY risks.

Anyway, still gathering data at the same time, so it isn’t like we are delaying or anything. Good news on that front, though. It shouldn’t be too much longer now.

Finally, yes, we knew what might happen if we sent you back. It sorta caused a really big argument that is still going today… We never intended to act in a way that sent you back to that. EVER. So don’t worry about it. I’ll let ya know if something comes up.

    • Romeo says:

It sounds like what you’re telling me is that you can send us back to a different fate or something. Before you were so sure you could send me somewhere else. That you had other options.

Here’s what I think. You want me gone no matter what. I slipped and told you the real reason I want to stay, so you’re telling me what I want to hear.

The bottom line is, why should I believe that this – what you’re telling me now – is the truth?

      • Sicon says:

Before I ask you to trust us in deciding to head back yourself, or even just to trust us with sending Juliet home, I will give you all the information we have on the matter. We are gathering data and double checking our theories to be absolutely sure. Once we are truly ready, we will tell you everything we have found.

I am not, as of this moment, saying you must return. We are well aware that you wish to stay, and are doing what we can to try and disprove theories involving the catastrophic events that we fear. However, it WAS my understanding that you wished Juliet to be allowed to return, since she appears to wish it, or did last time I heard. We will, of course, consult with both of you as I have said above, to come to a decision that I really hope benefits all of us.

However, as to being able to send you to a new fate, all of the evidence we have is leaning on the side of yes. When I give you a breakdown of what we know, I will, of course, let you know all of that as well. Things may change, however, and new information may come to light, which is why we are going to so many lengths to ensure that we know the exact effects before we act.

You will find, should you look back, that I have never really changed what I was saying, though at one point we were informed that opening a gate to a world that didn’t have a strong connection with the person in question was probably not going to work. As new things have arisen, we may begin to look into that as well, or even alternate ways of creating a phenomenon like this.

The moment we are truly prepared, I or one of the other tropers involved will drop by and give you everything, just as I promised above, and just as I have always said I would do. I do not ask you to trust the writing of a stranger on the internet in a situation as dire as this. I will merely give you everything I know, and hope that things come out for the best.

        • Romeo says:

Thanks, man. I will trust you with Juliet because I have no choice. As long as she goes back without me, her fate will have to change.

But trusting you to send me back with her will destroy any certainty I have that she’ll be okay. At least you seem to understand why I can’t do that. Not without solid proof. But I guess you’d have shown that to me by now if you had it.

          • Sicon says:

Unfortunately, we are working on scientific theories around here. As much as I dislike having so little information to work on, we are managing. I’ll figure this whole thing out as best I can, then I’ll give you everything I know, and…

…well, I guess we will just see how things go from there. Not much more I can do than that.

  • Julius says:

Why should you believe this Romeo? Why should you?

    You don’t.

Sure we know the real reason why you stray from going back. To avoid the ill fate that would usually befall you two. You have the ultimate choice and we can only persuade you to go.

You understand fear do you not? The end of that story pushes you into fear so you back away in order to avoid it altogether, remaining steadfast in your ability to act as if nothing happened and your stubbornness is not going back to protect you both.

    However, we fear as well.

We are human beings with a life, mothers, fathers, siblings, and sometimes children. We live our lives as they go by, sometimes taking for granted what we have and never paying attention to it until the Earl King comes to take us away.

However, the Metaguards fear. We fear the end of our lives, our futures, our families, gone because reality has ceased to exist. Although we are not sure if it is true, we must remain vigilant from preventing such an event from ever occurring. Why? Mostly because we fear, of all things, our end.

You do not know why you killed yourself because the event had never occurred yet. I know though. I know because it is recorded in the annals of historic language and literature; it is the foundation of the English Language and a forefront in playwright terminology.

You killed yourself because you could never imagine a life without Juliet. You never hesitated once. The love you had for her was so strong you were willing to meet her among the pearly gates where you two were to remain constellations among the Star Cross’d lovers of history. You made a permanent mark on your family and hers. A mark of peace and love, and forgiveness.

You feared a life without Juliet. And we fear the end. So why shalt we not find a solution that will benefit us both? We did. We would make Fan Fictions that would present the story in a more positive light and put you in it. You would appear in that story and live a better life.

We can’t ever tell you what to do. However, how will you fare once Juliet goes through the wall and you don’t? I expect the same thing to happen, only more gruesome.

You probably don’t trust me and that’s fine. I am merely trying to beseech that you go back with her, to a better future.

Romeo… The Lover, the lion, the mourner. Shalt you forsake your destiny and cement your pillar among the Colosseum of destiny? Become the common man of the modern age? Or shalt you become the man who shaped literature, who inspired many.

You of all people taught me the value of dedication and loyalty to the ones you love. You sacrificed everything to be with Juliet. Do you honestly think I would believe that you suddenly moved on to some other girl named Vanessa? No, I have been a huge fan of Romeo and Juliet. it shaped my life. It shaped my being and my personality. You taught me what true love is. And what I see now disgusts me honestly. I see the man who inspired me to push forward to achieve your dreams, crumble in the face of a destiny he has not yet achieved.

I refuse to believe it. Not after what that story taught me. Not after what you two taught me. You may not believe me but you can believe this… Without Juliet, you are not Romeo. You are someone lower than him. The Romeo I know would never do this. He would move forward and fight to find a solution that benefits both parties instead of forsake both and damn all of it to hell as you live a normal life without Juliet, which may not come true if reality collapses. Mostly because if reality collapses, Juliet will die and you will die. In an even more worse fashion.

Forgive this untimely wall of text. It is not usually befitting of a “Short of Tongue” man such as myself. However, I refuse to take this anymore. You are not Romeo Montague, the one who became more than himself and pushed forward for a more fulfilling life. You are something else.

    • Romeo says:

So now you’re calling me a coward? Don’t make me laugh. You found inspiration in a story about people dying, and you resent me for trying to take it away from you.

You make it sound like fixing everything is so easy, but you should know even better than I do that things just don’t work that way. I shouldn’t have to spell this out, but Juliet and I are star-crossed lovers. We were doomed to a tragic fate from the moment we were born! It was written in the damn prologue! Even if you can change the ending of the story, you can’t change our destiny without changing who we are. As long as Juliet and I are in the same world, that destiny will come back to bite us.

This is the only way I can be sure that never happens. If she goes home alone, she will someday move on with her life. If I’m not there, she can forget any of this shit ever happened. I love Juliet more than you will ever understand, so if you think this is easy for me, you can’t be more wrong. Selfish I may very well be, but don’t you dare call me a coward.

      • WackyMPractical says:

I’ll be blunt. I do want to send you home. I care too much about this world to even risk the chance that something could destroy it. I also do not want you nor Juliet to die.

Now, let me tell you something about me. I am an author. I write stories. A lot of us are authors. Are we not gods to you? You know the prologue of your story, and you consider it destiny, but it is only destiny because one man, an author, has decided that to be your destiny. However, we have been given direct orders by our superior to rewrite your destiny. We can place you in a new story, although still taking place in Verona, no longer bound by the prologue that has plagued your own, and thus any destiny given to you will be the ones we choose. And none of us, not even myself, want to return you to a story with a tragic ending. We love you, bro. And Juliet too. We’ve grown attached to you both.

        • Romeo says:

To me, the only god is the fool who wrote that shit ending. Until you prove otherwise, you’re my peer – and like me, you have something you’re afraid to lose.

That’s the only reason you’re telling me any of this. I’ve lied to you and tried to manipulate you, and I’ve torn apart Juliet’s heart. I know you care about her, but I’d be damn surprised if you didn’t want to see me dead by now.

Please. Send Juliet home without me. The moment I see proof that me being here’s causing problems… well, I’ll take responsibility.

  • QXZenith says:

    Dear Romeo,

It seems we two have much in common. Like you, I am guided strongly by my heart, so I’m sure it won’t come as a surprise to you when I say that I CANNOT lie to you. My very spirit rebels at the idea.

Romeo, I don’t believe in “destiny”, or if I do, I believe that there are infinite ways of fighting it, of changing it.

From everything I have studied– and, for your sake if not my own, I have studied the matter extensively– I believe that what these people say is true, that we can change your destiny in your world, change it so completely that it would be as though it had never been written any way but ours.

We can, that is, if that were what you wish. Of course, for my own selfish reasons, it might be against my own interests to urge you to leave this world– but above all else, I want you to be happy. Much as it pains me to admit it, I think that for you, that would mean being with Juliet.

But hey– you know yourself best. If you decide to stay– look me up?

    Love,
    Qara-Xuan

    • Romeo says:

I believe in destiny because there it was staring me in the face. But here, I’m not trapped by it. Here, I can change it, and this is me doing that.

      • QXZenith says:

As long as there are those of us in this world, this fateless world, doing the changing, I believe we will be able to fully change the destiny even of another world, such as your own.

I give you my word, Romeo: I WILL NOT allow your destiny to destroy you. I would give my own life before letting you lose yours.

        Love,
        Qara-Xuan

    • Julius says:

I am not trying to be rude by stating this question.

You do realize that if reality collapses so will you and Jules? And if you do, what do you feel about that predicament? Don’t answer the question if I have pushed a rather sensitive button with the following question.
