To Vanessa
Of love this pure the great have yet to write
In words of tomes like those that line these walls
The love I felt for you upon first sight
Gives meaning to my life within those halls
Your voice as sweet as any oriole
Makes race this heart of mine on lines of old
The charm of your bright eyes lights up my soul
In ways the greatest works have left untold
The trees of Mulberry cannot compare
Cathedrals cry in envy of your looks
The nearby Park seems barren when you’re there
Franklin could fill a million of his books
With stories of my endless love for you
Vanessa, my beloved, fair and true

Seriously?
…dude.
Just… not cool. At all.
Whelp. Certainly making quite a leap, aren’t you?
Well, forget going home now.
Exactly.
Hm, I liked your first poem better.
You grow overzealous Romeo, a true Montague would never do something as lecherous as this. Never forget what you leave behind Romeo. Or you will come to see that the very thing you have thrown away has a potential to be something much greater than you could have ever imagined.
Dude, sweet, you took my advice! That was very romantic and truly from the heart. Yes it’s not Juliet but I’m not one to get deeply involved with another dudes love life. (‘Cause that’s kinda creepy. lol) I get it, you listened to your heart and are doing exactly what you WANT to do for once. I get that dude.
Did you get Vanessa a gift too? My favorite is a single rose. And then I always use that classic Shakespeare line:
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.”
That Shakespeare really had this romantic stuff figured out right? Your poem even has heavy shades of the Great Bard.
Have you studied Shakespeare? Are you intentionally trying to imitate his style? ‘Cause it was pretty good.
Never heard of him. Was he from Verona?
Nah, he’s from England. But Verona is the location of one of his most famous & well known plays. I think it’s a tragic romance involving young love & two families that are sworn enemies. The quote I gave you is even from that play.
You really should familiarize yourself with Shakespeare, he’s written lots of great poems and sonnets that’ll help you be more romantic!
Hey man you met a girl that you like don’t let anyone make you feel bad about it. Just tell Jules before hand or we will find and destroy you. And by we I mean all of the guys who hate seeing people pull jerk moves like that. Just a warning.
*sigh* Joy of bloody joys. Nothing against you man, but I now have a killer headache and NO clue how to resolve this situation without screwing over everyone involved.
Again, I’ll try and let you know if I come up with something, but I’m not liking the looks of things as they stand.
Before you ask for clarification, allow me to explain.
All evidence we have received so far is that people brought unnaturally into this world, such as yourself and Juliet, are deconstructing the fabric of reality with their mere presence here. We don’t KNOW that for a fact, but so far everything has been pointing that way.
Second, in a short time we will have to close the gaps in the wall between your world and reality. In fact, we will probably be doing this as soon as we can discover the method to enact it. If we DO close that wall, anyone left on our side of it is stuck here permanently.
Now, I’m sure to you, that doesn’t sound like such a bad deal. Unfortunately, it also looks like if you stay here to long, all of existence will collapse.
Now before, all our research indicated that while it likely would be necessary to remove you from this plane, it would be possible to send you to a different place than Verona. Actually, we were intending to see about sending you to somewhere similar to this place, since you seemed to like it here.
However, now things are all messed up. You see, beings from this world are, as far as we know, incapable of crossing the wall. Even if they could do such a thing, it would just cause more worlds to collapse in the same way as this one. Therefore, you have just put me in a completely inescapable situation. As things currently stand, no matter what happens, someone loses.
I figure you deserve the heads up so you know what to expect. We will keep trying to find a way out of this, but as for right now, I cannot see any. I’ll keep you updated on what we find.
…Okay see, now? NOW you should feel like a jerk. Juliet still locked out, or can she see that little declaration?
If you don’t wanna be with her anymore, that’s fair enough man, but I do hope you’ve had the decency to tell Juliet beforehand.
Wait on your last post you were saying that you were an idiot because of what you said to Juliet, and now you post this? What happened inbetween?
You are in for it now, dude. She knows.
Okay, on the one hand, you’re being a bit jerky. On the other, you seem to really like this girl, and Juliet not listening to your opinion is pretty bad too. Plus, your life expectancy here in our world is way better than where you came from. Maybe you should think about staying?
Wait a sec– what’s this about life expectancy?
I mean to say that here in America our health care and medicine is much better than your hometown. How many old people have you seen around? Yeah, a lot.
